The instructor staff at Big Bear Air has over 70 years of commercial and general aviation experience. Teaching people to fly is what we do best and what we most enjoy. Our flight program provides professional instruction tailored to each individual's needs and experience.

Big Bear Air provides accelerated training for your Private Pilot or Instrument rating. Our location is ideal for training with the Los Angeles Basin just 10 minutes West, and the Mojave Desert 5 minutes North.

Instrument Flying: Come and fly our FAA approved Elite instrument simulator with the Garmin 430W; ten different aircraft; single, complex, HSI, DG, autopilot. You can fly any approach in the U.S. Big Bear Air offers professional instrument training, supervised and taught by Bob Nye, a 19,000 hour Alaska Airlines Captain. We can provide a training package based on your needs whether it is an Instrument Rating, IFR currency, or trip planning.
